Orienta
tion06!!reminds me of hc orientation. looking around for people i knew, 2 sc girls in my class, saw a very blur shun, made friends and eventually became a good and close knitted group. i remember first it was jia, edwin and i. then frank joined, and shortly left us for our 2 ac boys. then all of us became one group haha. :)
anyway, im glad nik's coming to monash!!! hope she stays here with me:) we had fun today! went to the uni and met kristie, this girl who's doing biomed/law, whom i met on enrolment day. then we went to bum around the booths for clubs, met ben (finally) from ocf parkville, who's also coming to monash. so happens every time he calls, either one is in the city, and the other in clayton. but now, we live on the same st, so it's quite cool:)
as i was saying, haha then we met nik and cheryl, who joined manymany societies. so i joined the law societies, wanted to join a
motor racing one but decided not to kill myself, joining the oaktree club (a famous youth volunteer club started by the aust young person of the year who's also doing sc/law in monash) and prob squash with nik. :)
okay so i just came back from wes's parent's 60th bday band practice..we're gonna do sixties songs on stage in front of like 300 plus pp..wearing those
weird hairdos and glasses..the works. so it's quite fun haha. then went out for supper with wes, simon and ben.
we were talking about parents and issues kids face, cos wes is doing this counselling course for youths. i guess everyone faces issues of their past. and parents, have a great impact on their children. that's just an understatement, seriously. you look at people and really admire them, thinking they have everything going for them, but deep inside, they're still struggling with issues they faced when they were just, 5,6? even 60 year olds may still find hard to break free from the hurt and anger.
i was watching dr. phil- anger management for this lady who has 2young girls. you see the 6- year-old cower in the corner and try to throw up out of fear of her mum, it really brings you to tears. and then you find out, unsurprisingly, that her mum was abused as a child.
the wheel has turned a full circle. why do people do the things they do? okay! im not really tired, but i better go to bed. having more orientation tmr- not that im interested in talks- but kristie and i will go check out our law counterparts tmr;) naah just kidding. take care!
