    people

was just reading hy's blog, about msn nicks. it's very true. some people just want attention, some merely want specific attention, and others, just a listening ear or two.

In my personal opinion, humans have always been in the era of pain and suffering. We have always been pathetic hearts longing to love and be loved. After all that one has accomplished in one's life- career, family, ministry-wise, the end of the race is love, is it not? On the deathbed, at the funeral, parting ways.

Why are so many people in this world hurting? Why are there people who still harbour the negatives of the past in their hearts?

Perhaps this building up of walls is due to unforgiveness. Think about it. The hurt harboured, the anger stirred, the once-bitten-twice-shy theory hence the insecurity, leading up to the carefully manufactured pride.

It's easy to say, forgive them for God forgave you. It is but a good reminder, but how many can say, yes, I truly do forgive them? To trust that you wont be on the receiving end of the hurt again?

Then again, we indulge in self-pity. Wallowing in past pains, unable to turn the filament-like page of your his-story. "Ive been hurt" cries may render some allowance to be given for screwed emotions and thoughts. Yet, how many times have we hurt others with what we say, do, or even think? (as thinking, I believe, ultimately leads to action) Knowingly or unknowingly, the people who mean so much to us, only get their desired place in our hearts after a catalysed series of misunderstandings and hurt. Then the cycle regurgitates itself.

In haphazard conclusion, this young and sheltered undeveloped thinker believes that the world on the brink of hurt-induced volcanic erruption. Remedy knocks on the door, willing to dine with thee, yet more often than not, we reject His invitation to be free.

    Revelation 3:19-22
"Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent.
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on His throne.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
